20 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW TO HELP YOU THROUGH THE TEENAGE YEARS
- People aren't as cool as they seem on social media. I know it looks super cool to have lots of followers & likes on instagram & twitter but in reality they aren't as cool as they seem. Not even the perfect filter or lighting will change how you look in real life.
- That being said, POST THAT SELFIE YOU TOOK. You think you look good? Hey, I think so too.
- Also, comment on people's selfies. Probably the best feeling ever when someone comments nice things amirite?
- You bought a cheetah print onsie that you absolutely love but are too shy to wear it? Haters are gonna hate. Might as well be comfortable while they do it.
- Never be scared to support your high school proudly, SHOW SCHOOL SPIRIT.
- Taco Bell is never a bad idea. Chick fil A is never a bad idea.
- Say hello to strangers. They may become your best friend. Who knows!!!
- If you feel like staying on bed & watching Netflix all day, no one is stopping you. Never let anyone deny the fact that Grey's Anatomy will always be there for you.
- If people give you crap for watching the bachelor, OFF WITH THEIR HEAD. (not really & pls never behead someone) but still, it is amazing & hilarious & don't let anyone tell you differently.
- It's okay if you stay home on a Saturday night to spend time with your family. They won't judge you either.
- Join a club, a team, or pick up a habit! Being apart of the softball team is honestly so much fun & it's legit when the announce it around the school.
- NEVER SETTLE FOR BOYS THAT DON'T TREAT YOU LIKE A PRINCESS.
- so, boys, TAKE GIRLS' ON DATES, LIKE NOW
- Don't judge a book by it's cover. & if you don't like to read, read advice below.
- Read Harry Potter. All the time. & S/O to ABC family for always hookin it up with Harry Potter movie marathons. They always will be the highlight of my weeks.
- Never be nervous to eat your chicken nuggets in front of people.
- If you have a question in school, don't be nervous to raise your hand.
- Don't judge the people that carry a boom box around in the halls. Maybe they just want to voice their interests in a unique way.
- Having a box of Wheat Thins in your backpack is always a good idea.
- & last but not least, be nice to everyone. High school is hard & stressful & hormones is already making you crazy enough so let's all just be nice to each other. One can never regret being nice to someone.
So there a have it folks. 20 things to make high school a little less painful, a little more fun. Say hi to strangers, spend time with your family, cheer for your football team & LOVE THE TIME YOU HAVE IN HIGH SCHOOL. it'll be over sooner or later.
